I bought the CPU, I am going to use all the CPU! Truly a PoS this thing is. Literally pinned the whole time.

Why do people still want $140 for a 4790K?.... At least the non k is like $40... Still really doesn't seem worth it XD

@Flute oh yeah, the anniversary edition cpu. That was a fun time... feels like a lifetime ago lol. Guess it’ been a decade already.

We have 6700K and 9900K CPU+Mobo+RAM combos kickin around unused here if you wanna make an offer / can send more details xD. Or int'l shipping will destroy any benefit, dunno.

@colinstu Hehe, I appreciate the offer, but probably going to cost me more in the long run. USA to AUS postage is stupid and has mostly been a bad time for me.. x> This is just a little NAS I will be using elsewhere, I am tempted to get one of these little guys off AliEx~

@Flute ah x) yep totally understand ya.
I believe @hexaitos is rocking one of those already and seems to be enjoying it (and/or others who suggested N100 stuff earlier to him at the time).

@colinstu @hexaitos Ah yeah? I am confident it won't get absolutely pinged by the all so heavy task of: *checks notes* bulk transferring files... XD

@Flute @colinstu Yep, really happy with my N100 build! Got Proxmox running on it with like a dozen VMs and LXCs now and I’m at ~8% CPU usage on average with a pretty low power usage of around 25 W (which includes two HDDs for my NAS that’s also running on it). I think the N5105 was a slightly lower performance one though? I don’t remember exactly though.

Only problem: single channel memory. Officially it only seems to support 16 GB but I got mine running with 32 GB without any problems.

@hexaitos @colinstu For this thing, more than enough. Good to hear it is decent, I will certainly get it next pay day. :)

@Flute Hah! I still use a 3770K for my main desktop, and a W3550 for my server dragnsarc Both definitely still outclassing even the anniversary Pentium (even without the overclocking I've done) but still. Funny to think how old they've gotten!

@mark Oh wow! Hopefully still going strong for you? Yeah this chip is awful but this system has been ironcially too reliable... XD

@Flute Surprisingly, despite all I've put it through, it's still going just as strong as ever! Server does everything I need, and for my desktop the bottleneck seems to be my GPU usually anyways dragncrysmile

And hey, the anniversary edition beats an older pentium at least!
