So excited to finally get back home. My poor server really did its best not going offline without me being able to mess with it at all. I plan to make a piKVM to control it better when I get there, though, so that should be nice to have.

What a ride! Installed a new CPU cooler, but in the process bent a pin on the socket. Couldn't get it working again for days, figured it might have been the end for that PC despite the fact I JUST bought a new GPU. Then after I spent far too long carefully trying to tweak it back into place, it started to work again. I'd say I regret trying to install the cooler, but now my CPU hasn't topped 60C no matter how hard I push it, even when overclocked to 4.7ghz (up from 3.9). I'll squeeze every last bit of juice out of you yet, 3770K :P

Playing guitar is a lot more fun to me than piano. I still think that I can play a wider range of a song on a keyboard, but guitar just sounds so good even when you're not trying or you're messing up (which I do a lot), hah. The only downside is my fingers hurt

For my birthday I got myself a fully functional and actually useful for once ELK stack. It only cost me most of my day and a little bit of my soul that I had to imbue into the regexes.

My cursed webserver setup is out to get me once again... I'm going to be away from it for a while, and my way to connect to it remotely suddenly stopped working for no reason. It randomly decided to start working again a few minutes ago and I quickly got in and fixed it, but whew.

I put my email address on my website in plain text instead of munging it because I use spam as a sort of free intermittent functionality check so I don't have to test and make sure people can still send me stuff.
